The Waterfront Hall is acknowledged to be one of the finest modern concert halls. The gala opening concert starring Dame Kiri Te Kanawa which marked its official opening was attended by the Prince of Wales.  This copy of the programme is ex-library but the only sign of that is a stamp on the contents page: it is in excellent, almost untouched condition.  Contact us about this book.

FLOOD, J M.  Ireland: its saints and scholars.  1st edition.  Dublin: Talbot Press, c. 1920.  118p, 7 leaves of plates : frontis., illus (b & w), photos (b & w).  Hbk., without dustjacket. (The New Era Library).

Ex-library (convent school), with just one stamp on flyleaf. Bound in olive green cloth, with blind impressed design and gilt lettering on the spine. There is bumping on the top and bottom of the spine and along part of the bottom back; the gilt lettering is worn and there is some very slight staining; otherwise the cover is in quite good condition for its age.  There is some foxing on the endpapers and the pages and three small ink stains on the bottom edges and one stain on a page margin, but the text is clear and unmarked.  The plates are slightly loose and the hinges a little worn, but the binding is still intact.  A good copy.  Click here to see photos 1  and  2.  Contact us about this book.
