TERMS OF BUSINESS

 

 

ORDERING: Our listings are regularly updated, but before placing your order, please check with us that the item is still available. 

 

PAYMENT: Payment must accompany orders. UK buyers may pay by personal cheque, postal order or PayPal. If you wish to pay by PayPal, please email me first with details of your order and I will email you a PayPal invoice. Your goods will be dispatched upon confirmation of your PayPal payment. Cheques should be crossed and made payable to Anne Loughran at APJ Publications. If paying by cheque, please note that goods will be dispatched upon clearance, usually from 3 to 10 working days. Non-UK buyers:  PayPal is the only payment method I can accept from non-UK buyers.

 

POSTAGE & PACKAGING: The cost of P & P is calculated from the combined weight of the item and packaging and includes a small charge for packaging and handling... When posting I obtain a cash receipt which I retain as proof of postage. Please be assured that I want your goods to reach you in the same condition as when they left me, so I take great care with packaging.  I offer a discount on the cost of P & P for multiple-item purchases.

 

POSTAL INSURANCE: UK Royal Mail standard delivery postal charges include insurance against loss or damage for items up to a value of £30. For items valued in excess of £30, I will list in addition to the cost of standard delivery the cost of sending the item by Special Delivery (or by Parcel Post) with appropriate enhanced compensation cover. Please note that I cannot be responsible for loss or damage to items of more than £30 value if you choose to have them sent by standard delivery. Please be assured however, that whatever the method of delivery you choose I will take the greatest care with packaging and labelling.  I want your goods to reach you in the same condition as when they left me.

 

RETURN POLICY: Most of my books are used / second hand and will have at least some signs of use.  I describe all items as honestly as possible and encourage potential purchasers to ask as many questions as they like before purchasing.  Returns will only be accepted and a refund issued under the following conditions: (i) incorrect information was given in the listing or before purchase; (ii) the buyer contacts me to arrange return within 7 days of receipt of goods; (iii) the buyer pays the cost of return; (iv) the goods are returned in the same condition as when they left me.
